Woefully disappointed...
I spent the last 2 sleepless nights, plowing through the latest installment of Harry Potter and I finally finished it 4:20 this morning and I'm woefully disappointed... Then ending of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince certainly makes one anticipate the release of book 7 of Harry Potter, but for me, this anticipation is not one of excitement, rather now, it's desperate hope, that Rowling will make an attempt for a happy ending once again.

I am in Trouble....
I am in trouble.  For the next 6 days I am in South Dakota, implementing my software at a client's office.  I took a red eye flight on Thursday night arriving Friday morning, but instead of getting a full night's rest, I stayed up until midnight to wait for the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  Then while waiting in line for an hour and a half, I vowed to myself I'd go straight to bed and not read it till I get a full night's rest.  Nope.  I snuck a peak and woefully, went to be at 4:20 am.  Now, haven't had only 3+ hours of sleep, I'm getting ready for me systems checkpoint meeting in 20 mins.  I sound pretty terrible and probably look it too.  It's going to be a sleepless weekend.

Improving Education in Jamaica
The local paper in Jamaica published an article called "Students Benefit from Joint Learning Project."  This learning project is actually a program available through Applied Scholastics, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving education standards internationally.  Through this program that is backed by the Jamaican Ministry of Education, students in Jamaica will be able to take charge of their own education and achieve their goals.  It is an incredible program.  More governements need to implement the Applied Scholastics study technology program, rather than continue to fund the dismal "special education" purported to be effective by the psychiatric industry.  More information on the failing education as a result of implementing psychology based educational systems can be found at CCHR (Citizens Commision on Human Rights).

Missing your Flight and Reading about Tom Cruise & Tom Szasz
Much to my chagrin, I missed my flight this morning and am now waiting at the airport for the next available flight at noon which I hear is fully booked, so now I may not make that flight and will have to wait for the next which may not be for another 3 hours after that.  So, while I sit here grumbling to myself about my complacency this morning on the way to LAX, I'm leaving you this recent article about Tom Cruise and psychiatry: Cruising Szasz

Press on the Dangers of Psychiatry
There has been quite a bit of press recently surrounding the dangers of psychiatry. The following are a few articles from the Citizens Commision on Human Righs (CCHR) and their topics.

"Psychiatry is a Pseudoscience" - goes over the lack of scientific basis of mental disorders such as depression, ADD, ADHD.

Abusing women in the name of psychiatry, prescription drugs - goes over the abuse of drugs like Paxil and how the controversy between Tom Cruise and Brook Shields regarding Post Partum Depression, Antidepressants, Mental Disorders has more basis than you think.

Psychiatric Watchdog Speaks Out About Tom Cruise Speaking Out; Warns About National Crisis of Child-Drugging with 'Kiddy Cocaine'... - Announcement by CCHR regarding exposé of psychiatry where Ritalin, a Kiddy Cocaine, is being overprescribed to Children.

Schools Cannot Force Psychiatric Drugs on Children
Not availabe on mainstream media sites is the availability to find truth about psychiatric drugs.  A lot of times, vanguard groups such as the Citizens Commision on Human Rights (CCHR) spend tremendous effort on educating the public on the dangers of psychiatric drugs and their side effects.

The CCHR website provides very thorough information on ADD and ADHD as well as the dangers of Ritalin.  Additionally, one can find other websites that are available to track the news surrounding drugs like Ritalin, such as Topix.Net which has a whole news section dedicated to Ritalin News.  One recent article on Red Nova raises concerns over the Psychiatric Effects of ADHD Drugs which is now being probed by the FDA.  Another article provided coverage on the FDA considering increased warnings on ADHD drugs, wherein side effects include hallucinations, school violence and suicide.

With such alarming side-effects including recent news of a possible cancer link to Ritalin, it is no wonder that law makers across the US are passing laws to prevent schools from forcing parents to use Psychiatric drugs as in this example described in the article New law: Schools can't force meds on kids.  We see that legislators and goverment officials are now seeing the light that it's time to return to parents their inherent right to protecting the lives of their children.

Let's Talk about Dyslexia
OK.  So the media is all into discrediting Tom Cruise.  Well, let's talk about.  First of all, Tom Cruise has always credited Scientology to his sucess.  He has specifically said that the Study Technology, developmed by L. Ron Hubbard cured his dyslexia

Well, good.  Now, let's look at DYSLEXIA.  Dyslexia is supposedly a psychological reading disorder that is incurable, but can be treated by drugs, and with enough of conditioning a person can retrain themselves to learn.  In other words, a person must change themselves to fit the environment be compliant to the laws of life rather than live for oneself and be the boss.  Instead, you must fit the mold.  CCHR has actually documented exact causes that potentially create the symptom of dyslexia.  And, by having an understanding of the cause of the problem, you can then open the door to a solution.  Gee, why is it that a vanguard for human rights is able to identify the potential causes for dyslexia, when the paid "professionals" cannot.  Hmmm.... do I see an ulterior motive?

What a Surprise... Anti-depressants Are a Suicide Risk
So, the FDA just issued a second warning on the suicide risks ("FDA warns about antidepressants, suicide") and where is this warning?  It's tucked away in the Health section.  Oh.  Let's see, just the yesterday, it's an outrage for Tom Cruise to say "Psychiatry is a pseudoscience," but when the FDA themselves issue a suicide warning on a drug that "cures" depression, we don't hear about it.  All of a sudden, it's not news anymore.  The reports, the editors, the news cutting room floors, once again forget everything Tom Cruise said.  This just makes me sick.

We need to think for ourselves and learn the truth.  Tom Cruise has every right to defend his opinion and expose the fact that psychiatry is a hoax and a fraud and has spent billions of goverment spending on programs that are failing this nation.  Illiteracy and educational standards are at an all time low, despite increasing funds to psychiatric programs.  If anything is to show, it's the fact that the more money you throw at the psychiatrists, the worse our educational system becomes.  CCHR has thoroughly investigated the fraudelent behavior of psychiatrists and exposed the truth about ADHD.  You can find out for yourself.  Just look at the facts.  Hey, even the FDA is starting to look into things.

It's Not About Tom Cruise, It's About Psychiatry
I'm not a person to turn my blog into a fan site, but this whole thing with Tom Cruise's showdown with Matt Lauer has the media flailing in a frenzy.  The topic of psychiatry has been a hidden battle for human right since the 60's and has been ignored by the media and government for far too long. Yet, finally when it is brought public, the media once again covers the dust by poking fun at the actor rather than look into the topic at hand.  It's not about Tom Cruise, it's about the fraud and criminality of the psychiatric industry and if it took an actor to bring it out in the open, then so be it.  Ruben Navarrett nailed the issue on the head with this article. "It's not the celebrity, it's the subject " represents the direction in which we should focus on our energy rather than be embroiled into a who has a right to an opinion match.

For decades the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) have been defending our rights to humane mental treament and human rights, by exposing the crimes of psychiatrists and the Psychiatric industry.  While the media are behind the scenes protecting their biggest advertising clients by promoting the idea that Tom Cruise has no right to an opinion, CCHR has vaults of exposés documenting psychiatric abuses and crimes.  Even recently, on June 27, "in an explosive admission, American psychiatric Association President Steven Sharfstein did a 180-degree turnaround from his TODAY show interview (June 27) and admitted that there is no way to test for a "chemical imbalance" as the cause for mental disorders. PEOPLE magazine (July 11), quoted Dr. Sharfstein conceding, "We do not have a clean-cut lab test." And yet, the debate continues to tarnish the image of Tom Cruise, as an effort to destroy his popularity and protect the crimes of psychiatry.

This has been such a long brutal fight for those few desperate men protecting our rights to humane treatment and sanity, that it's about time someone stepped up to the forefront to shatter the social veneer of our society.

The Way to Happiness
For the past week, I've been in Kingston, Jamaica, my home town handing out The Way to Happiness booklets.  As many are aware, Jamaica, like many third world countries, is experiencing a steady increase of crime, illiteracy, drugs and an overall dwindling spiral in quality of life.  When I lived in Jamaica over 10 years ago, I lived a rather sheltered life and protected from crime and immorality, but there were days where I feared for my safety if my mother forgot to pick me up from school and there was no way to call for help.  Today, that fear consumes the lives of the citizens and their family and has been a major source of their personal travail.

As a Scientologists and a volunteer minister, it is my duty to provide relief to my fellow man, which is why I set out this week to hand out The Way to Happiness booklets and promote Dianetics to the people of Jamaica.  In so doing, I have changed the lives of 500 people for they now have a common sense guide to better living and a technology to rid the destructive influence of the reactive mind and be on the road to a happiness and peace.
